Citizens’ Ambulance Service provides service to residents of Indiana County and portions of Armstrong, Westmoreland, and Clearfield counties. Citizens’ Ambulance Service maintains five (5) stations located in Indiana County and one (1) station located in Armstrong County. Citizens’ is licensed by the PA Department of Health for basic and advanced support services at each location, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Additional support is added to Citizens’ rural service area with Immediate Response Personnel (IRP). These individuals respond to calls from their residences or place of business and are dispatched simultaneously with an ambulance to provide initial care. |

Citizens’ Ambulance Service has a separate division responsible for non-emergency medical transport services. Citizens’ Transport Service utilizes ambulances for non-emergency transfers.
Additionally, Citizens’ maintains six (6) wheelchair vans and four (4) walk-on vans that provide transportation to and from medical and dental appointments, hospital discharges, and various other medically related requests. |
|
Citizens’ Ambulance Service promotes participation on its Bike Team. The Bike Team is utilized for community events such as 5K run/walks, local fairs, and festivals. Participants are EMTs and Paramedics that are equipped with Basic and Advanced Life Support (BLS and ALS) medical equipment, and can maneuver through crowds and through terrain where an ambulance would have difficulty reaching and providing emergency care quickly.
Citizens’ Ambulance Service provides ALS or BLS staffed ambulances for various standby services. An ambulance can be contracted for community and school activities and sporting events. To request standby services or for additional inquiries, contact our Public Relations director, Claire Hogan at 724-349-5511 or at chogan@asmgt.com.
