E. William Staffen has served on the Citizens’ Ambulance Service Board of Directors for over 20 years. “My younger brother became involved with Citizen’s in the 1970s as an EMT/Paramedic. While attending IUP in the business department, he felt his calling in a career in medicine and shifted to pre-med and attended Thomas Jefferson Medical School with a residency in cardiology in Hershey, Pennsylvania. He has been a cardiologist for 35 years and his wife Dorothy was also a paramedic for Citizens’. This all inspired me to take the EMT course, work with Citizens' and volunteer with Homer City Fire Department and join the Citizens’ Executive Board.”
